Error Communicating with the Camera

The following information may help you resolve problems communicating with the camera connected to your computer.

u Make sure the camera is connected to the computer and is turned on. If you are using batteries to power the camera, make sure they are fresh.

u If you receive an error message indicating there are no pictures on the camera, make sure the camera has not entered auto power off mode. If the camera is in auto power off mode, turn it on.

u If you are using a camera dock, make sure it is connected to the computer, the camera is placed correctly in the dock, and the Transfer button has been pressed.

u Make sure the Kodak EasyShare icon is displayed in the system tray, in the lower-right corner of the desktop. If the icon is not in the tray, choose Start Programs or All Programs Kodak Kodak EasyShare Kodak EasyShare software.

u Make sure the camera appears as an icon in the My Computer window. To refresh the display, press F5. If the camera is not displayed, disconnect the camera, restart your computer, and reconnect the camera.
